For me this shot was a lesson in when you see something then, shot it then. starting in on a trail at the Chattahoochee River, I walked under this tree, don't know what kind of tree it was for I'm not a botanist but I looked up as I walked under it. It had just finished raining and deep blue skies were beginning to emerge from behind the dark and puffy grey clouds. What I saw was a branch of glowing green leaves aganst a deep blue sky. As walked past I said to myself, I'll shot this on my way back, and I kept walking with the thought that it's a tree it isn't going any where. I didn't think about the other component of the shot, the sky, or the light. Needless to say when I came back of the trail the blue sky was gone replaced with gray and white patchy clouds. I went ahead and shot it anyway and found that it was very interesting.
