DIY giant paper dahlias
This DIY project will create beautiful paper dahlias to decorate your home or living space with some color for fall. This DIY project comes from the wonderfully creative people at HGTV and Mommity. Materials For this project, you will need: -- Yellow, white and grey construction paper or card stock -- Hot-glue gun and hot-glue sticks -- Piece of cardboard (pizza boxes work great) -- Scissors or paper cutter You can find the majority of these items at a craft store. Put together the paper flower Cut a large circle from the cardboard. Cut the yellow and white construction paper in 4x4 squares. Cut the grey construction paper into 3x3 squares. Roll each paper into a cone, as shown in the picture. Then, use the hot-glue gun and the hot-glue sticks to glue the paper cones around the cardboard circle. Leave about a finger width in between each paper cone. Then, repeat the gluing step with the white and then yellow paper a little further into the circle. Continue until you get near the center.
