This workout pairs the cardio of the StairMaster with weight training with a pair of dumbbells. You'll be using functional movements which means you’ll mimic everyday activities like carrying grocery bags up the stairs. This means you'll work more muscles at once and increase your calorie burn! Depending on what you're comfortable with, use a pair of 3- to 8-pound dumbbells. Unless otherwise noted below, carry the dumbbells in a “grocery bag position," which means one in each hand as if holding onto two grocery bags, arms down by sides. Now get steppin'!
