iOS Human Interface Guidlines
There are three main themes you should follow: *Deference* The UI helps people understand and interact with the content, but it should never compete with it. - Take advantage of the whole screen, highlighting important content - Reconsider visual indicators of physicality and realism...in other words don't let heavy UI elements overpower the content - Let translucent UI elements hint at the content behind them. *Clarity* Text should be legible at every size, icons should be precise and lucid, adornments should be subtle and appropriate, and there should be a sharpened focus on functionality to motivate the design. - Use plenty of negative space - Let color simplify the UI - Ensure legibility by using the system fonts - Embrace borderless buttons *Depth* Visual layers and realistic motion should impart vitality and heighten people’s delight and understanding.
