Tony Romo recently said in a news conference that Jason Witten “might be the best Dallas Cowboy of all time." Now I'm definitely a member of Team Witten. He is absolutely indispensable to the offense in multiple roles, has an insanely low lost fumble record, goes to the Pro Bowl regularly, is one of the (maybe the only) consistently dependable player on the roster, and is clearly one of the best tight ends to ever play the game. But that's still quite an assertion, considering the company of many shining stars in the history of the Cowboys. What do you think? Is Witten the best Cowboy of all time? If not, who is?
Better than Irving or Aikman? I don't know.....
Exactly... and although I don't know how I'd compare him with Witten, Novacek had an important role in that team's success.
Too many greats in Cowboys history to name Witten the greatest.
