With Vuela Basic, you can only carry carry-on bags for free, maximum 2 pieces, with a combined weight of 22 pounds and each size no larger than 22.4 x 15.7 x 12.9 inches.

Vuela Classic allows a maximum of 2 carry-on bags with a combined weight of 22 pounds and dimensions no larger than 22.4 x 15.7 x 12.9 inches each. You can also bring 1 piece of checked baggage with a combined weight of 55 pounds and dimensions not exceeding 62 linear inches. Passengers traveling in this class may bring a maximum of 5 pieces of checked baggage of the stated weight and dimensions upon payment of excess baggage fees.
Vuela Plus members are allowed 2 pieces of carry-on baggage with a total weight of 44 pounds, each piece no larger than 22.4 x 15.7 x 12.9 inches. Also, 1 checked bag with a total weight of 55 pounds and a size of 62 linear inches is allowed free of charge.

Volaris check-in methods

After booking a Volaris flight, you must obtain a boarding pass prior to your travel time in order to board the flight. This happens at the end of the check-in process where you are seated, special requests are made and baggage fees are paid. The airline offers various check-in methods. These are given below:

a) Web Check-in Opens 72 hours before departure for domestic flights within Mexico and 24 hours before departure for international flights. In both cases it remains open 1 hour before the Mexico flight.

b) Mobile check-in is done through the Volaris mobile application, which must be downloaded to your smartphone. The boarding pass is sent electronically to your mobile app. This can be presented at the airport to board the flight. Please note that mobile app check-in is only available at some airports. So you need to look for the airports that accept this.

c) Facebook Messenger Check-In This method can be used to check-in within Mexico.

Volaris frequent flyer program
Volaris has a loyalty rewards program for passengers who make reservations and fly frequently. It's called the v.club program. The program is not free and paid. A person can join the program by filling out an online form. Program benefits include a discount on air fares, an additional 22 lbs. Baggage allowance at check-in on flights with Classic or Plus cabins.
