AMPY is a wearable device that captures energy from your motion, turning it into power to charge your phone or any USB-powered device. Essentially, if you are riding your bike, running, or just walking around you would be charging your AMPY device. It captures your kinetic energy when you move and stores it in an internal lithium ion battery. The device also comes with a smartphone app. The app tracks: the amount of energy you've generated, the number of calories you've burned and the carbon footprint offset from charging with AMPY. AMPY has a Kickstarter page that has been funded but you can still support if you want. If you feel like waiting then they should be available mid-summer of next year.

I'll definitely be picking up a few of these, one for me and one for my dad. We can compete on how much power we are making with our cycling! :D
This is really cool, I can't wait for it to be fully released.
What a fabulous idea! I hope this gets more people moving :)
I wonder how much motion is actually required to get a good charge? Very interesting concept however
This is very innovative. Looking forward to hear more update on this one.
