Coffee Might be Good for Your Liver
It turns out that coffee might have positive effects on your liver. No, really. And, not just because of the caffeine! While the exact cause of this positive effect has not yet been identified, it seems that both decaf and regular coffee have a positive effect on your long term liver functionality, though the results are still being confirmed. How you ask? Well, it has to do with your enzyme levels. Elevated levels of certain enzymes in your liver can indicate inflammation or another serious problem. Researchers took over 25,000 people and had them report their coffee consumption, while also monitoring their enzyme levels through blood samples. The results? Compounds like alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and gamma-glutamyl transaminase (GGT) were tracked throughout the experiment, and it was found that those who drink more than 3 cups a day had lower levels of these potentially dangerous liver enzymes. And, the effect was equal for both regular and decaf coffee. So drink up everyone; your liver won't be the one complaining!

Don't know if it's good for the liver, but it's good for the coder (software). Lol! Thanks for sharing. I'll be sure to talk about that on Monday at the office
