Shark Feeding Frenzy in NC
www.youtube.com1DAA50E1-0355-420D-A1AD-2C244287F3DCCreated with sketchtool.
When a few guys went out to catch their dinner, they were instead met with this sight: tons and tons of sharks feeding on a school of blue fish! Some of the sharks even became breached in the process. Donnie Griggs, the cameraman who captured the footage, is an avid waterman who spearfishes, dives, swims and surfs at Cape Lookout often. He emphasized in the description that these waters are very safe for swimming, and the presence of these sharks and large schools of fish is actually a sign of a very healthy ecosystem. Due to the absence of tourists in the water, schools of fish make their way to the shore to eat the minnows now, and the same sharks who eat them in deeper waters are the same sharks who will follow them to the shore. Don't go too far out, and you'll be fine!

I do have friends who swim and dive with sharks all over the world. They have special diving gear that is supposed to help in case of shark attacks. They're thrill seekers! Personally, I think they're plain old crazy! I may fish and catch them or whack them on the head with my old billy stick if needed but I am not getting up close and personal or taking any extra chances than I need. My thrill is the catch and release of fishing and or relaxing on the beach and working on my tan!
ya @redridergirl I'm totally with that's just taking crazy to a whole new level, I know that I'm going to die one day and I'm fine with that but I just don't want to be some animal's meal. I love extreme sports and I love nature so my top 10 list to do would be in those fields. I have done few of them but I still crave that feeling.
@IbyIbyiby @dougjohnson @mcgraffy @fallingwater @yakwithalan - I am no big adventurer and don't think of myself as an extreme sports person! I just enjoy life! I am not going to be doing an bungee or base jumping or diving with the sharks or as you say @IbyIbyiby not interested in being any Great White Sharks dinner! My Top 10 List in Life is just being on the beach somewhere; fishing and relaxing, catching my ultimate Marlin at some point; enjoying my motorcycle, boating, my Hobie Craft Oasis, cars; traveling; working on my tan and being in the water year round in a warm climate; loving my dog and cat and continuing to volunteer and being a advocate and volunteer lobbyist; keeping up my weight lifting and various exercising; dancing the night away and some great concerts; hitting a few major sports games the ultimate being a pro fight in Vegas, next the Super Bowl, Basketball Finals, Baseball Finals, Soccer Playoffs and absolutely the Hockey playoffs, MFA Big Cage Fight, WWE with the ROC, car and Indy racing all across the world, motorcycling racing, boat racing; and of course who doesn't want Jay Leno's Garage as their own personal collection! I never said I didn't dream big yall! Happy Happy and a very safe New Year to all my new fisher friends! Take care dudes!.
@redridergirl Wow, you sure have a lot of things you love doing though! Even if you don't consider yourself a big adventurer, you sure have a lot of cool stuff going on :)
