This game was much closer than many expected. The Jets put up quite a fight as they always seem to do against the Patriots but failed in the end when Nick Folk's FG was blocked by the Pats to end the game. It certainly is a game of inches. The Patriots led 17-12 at halftime despite having the ball for just 7:57, while the Jets held it for 22:03. The Jets were pounding the rock and controlling the clock but their offense just could not convert in the end zone in the first half. The Jets got inside the New England 30 on all four of their first-half possessions. But they managed just four field goals by Folk, covering 22, 47, 46 and 27 yards. The Jets outgained the Patriots on the ground 218 yards to 63, but could not accomplish what they needed through the air. This is the Jet's 6th loss in a row and the pressure is mounting on Coach Rex Ryan.
