IKEA creates a Halloween commercial with a Stanley Kubrick twist
IKEA's marketing team is continuously winning me over. Whether it's IKEA Malaysia's Product Look-Alike Contest (which I raved about in a previous card) or simply just the fact that the entire layout of IKEA is just one giant creative marketing trick itself, I'm always looking forward to seeing what they come up with next. This is the latest commercial to come from IKEA Singapore, a one and a half minute reel re-enacting an infamous scene from Stephen King's "The Shining". The familiar IKEA building is dimmed to a spooky shadow, a railined camera follows young 'Danny' as he heads pedals his tricycle through the store. It's even got its very own plot twist! Check it out.

Thanks @danidee for updating it. I love it when advertising hits a home run, like in the coke commercials a couple years ago with the twist-off cap and the miniature cokes in the park.
