Google's Nexus 6: The Phablet of our dreams?
I don't know about you, but any time Google announces a new Nexus it feels like Christmas. The last time I was upgrading my phone I was choosing between the Nexus or Galaxy. I ultimately went with the Galaxy (which I love), but now with Android 5.0 and Nexus 6, I'm feeling some intense FOMO. Here are the specs: ---- SCREEN ---- • 5.96” screen size • 2560x1440px resolution • QHD AMOLED display (493 ppi) • 16:9 aspect ratio • Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 The Nexus 6 is the largest screen yet, beating the Note 4 at 5.7" and iPhone 6 Plus at 5.5". Uses the same AMOLED display as the Galaxy Note 4, while the iPhone 6 Plus uses retina HD LCD display with 1920 x 1080 px resolution. AMOLED is great for saving battery life, just saying. ---- Camera ---- • 13MP with optical image stabilization • Dual LED ring flash • f/2.0 aperture • 4K video capture at 30fps • Front Camera: 2MP, HD Video Conferencing The camera is a good upgrade from the Nexus 5's previous 8MP. HD video in the front camera looks sweet! Definitely beats the iPhone 6 Plus in terms of numbers. ---- CPU/RAM ---- • Quad core Krait 450 CPU 2.7GHz (Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SOC) • 3GB of RAM With these specs, I expect multitasking and overall performance will be speedy. Can't wait to see more performance reviews to come out. ---- Storage ---- • 32GB & 64GB The saddest thing is that it is non-expandable. I wish it had a microSD slot. ---- GPU ---- • Adreno 420 This GPU will provide better performance and reduce power consumption. Good news for android gaming. Read more here: http://goo.gl/CPpzgc ---- Wireless ---- • 802.11ac 2x2 (MIMO) • Bluetooth 4.1 • NFC ---- Battery ---- • 3220mAh • Qi wireless charging • Standby time (Ambient Display on ) up to 250 hrs, (Ambient Display off) up to 330 hrs • Internet use time (Wi-Fi) up to 9.5 hours, (LTE) up to 10 hours • Talk time up to 24 hours • Video playback up to 10 hours * Also important to note that this phone is water resistant and that the battery is not removable (sad news). ---- Overall ---- I'm impressed...I want to abandon my Galaxy S4 for this. Highlights, of course, would be having the newest Android 5.0. I love the fact that it will be compatible with wireless charging and really love the overall look and finish. The Nexus 6 is expected to be released in November will be available for pre-order soon (October 29 for $649 in the US @ Google Play Store). The price is high, but definitely understandable with all the new upgrades. Any of you planning to purchase this phone? Pre-Order Link: http://goo.gl/D976aI Images Source: http://goo.gl/AfCgYW

I am nowhere near ready for an upgrade but I still really want to upgrade to this!! I'm not a big fan of the battery not being removable, though :/
Well I know next to nothing about phones, especially smart phones, but 32GB sounds like more than enough room for me!
yah this phone looks great...I'm thinking of either getting the nexus or htc...decisions, decisions
