Hi guys and girls. I'm looking for some help/tips. I've just started Longboarding after some 20+ years absents from skateboarding. I'm really looking for advice on what to do, I'm not looking to start doing any tricks. Just want to be able to cruise and may be a bit of down hill !! Hope you can help an ageing skateboarder out ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Whats your budget @GaryCampbell ? Check out funboxdist.com for good quality, cheap boards. I recommend the Kray or the LTD for light freeride
@GaryCampbell yeah, I agree with @tristendamon that it has a lot to do with feel of the board. Just go to a local surf/skate shop and you'll be able to try a few boards
^ @tristendamon That's what I started on and it worked out well
I personally recommend a free ride board for beginners because they're versatile and easier to learn on as well.
its all about the feel of the board. It also helps not being afraid when you can't stop. I found the calmer you are when you're bombing a hill the less you generally crash
