@divalycious, since I wanted to know, I looked it up. I guess Korean and Japanese would fall under the Altaic family. As we know, Korean and Japanese used Chinese charecters, but in 1446 King Sejong invented the Hangul alphabet for the literacy of the masses. They tend to be isolated languages also.
