I'm new to longboarding and I wanted to know if there were any tips and tricks I should know I want to get into freestyling and downhill so if you guys have any tricks that can be done easily that'd be great
@nathanielsierra I think a Tesseract is a good choice. The truncated tessy is basically the same price as the normal one but with just less board. As @steezus said, the tesseract can do a bit of everything
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ElVh4deZ0lA this is a board review of the Truncated Tesseract, a board thats a decent example for downhill boards.
The board you have now seems like a cruiser, and it seems kinda flexy. So that would be bad for downhill. With DH, you want a board thats pretty stiff, and has some concave to lock you in when you initiate slides.
Freestyle and downhill are very different, and your board looks more oriented toward cruising and maybe some light freestyle.
The easiest trick to learn in my opinion is the flat top plant, or just flat top. I posted a video tutorial on here.
