Referred to by art critics as "an exhibition inside an exhibition", Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans' Warehouse Arts District is currently displaying "Basquiat and the Bayou". Running through January 25, the exhibit hosts a collection of paintings by the late Jean-Michel Basquiat that reflect his love for and career-long fascination with the region. The works address many different themes, including jazz music, slavery and race relations, and the South's heavy Afro-Caribbean influences.
