I love space. That doesn't mean I know much about astronomy, but I do know that I need to appreciate the splendor (and size!) of the world around me! Observing the sunset is already awesome, but being able to view it through a solar telescope would be unbelievable! Smaller aspects of the sun, like sunspots and solar filaments, cannot be seen without some sort of technological equipment. Watch this video in full screen, HD, or you'll be doing its creator (Sweden-based astrophotographer Göran Strand) an injustice!!! To take an even closer look at the sun, check out the second video courtesy of NASA's Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph which was recorded on May 9, 2014.
