DUET: The Oscar-Nominated Hand-Drawn Short from Disney's Glen Keane
American animator Glen Keane's "Duet" has recently been added to the running list of films shortlisted for the upcoming Academy Awards. Keane is known for his work with Disney. Since the late 1970s, he worked as a top character animator in a number of the company's films, including The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Tarzan, and Tangled. However, it was truly when Keane left Disney to create his own studio when we start seeing the full capacity of the animator as an artist. For example, this entire short is hand-drawn, something of a lost art in a world that has taken so well to digital imagery and animation. It's incredibly impressive, and I'm sure you'll all love it too.

wow no matter how much animation has changed over the years, hand drawn animation will remain to be my absolute favorite. it takes dedication and time to draw something so simple yet beautiful. I absolutely loved it!!!

@BecaC22 Me too. I'm a little sad that the new Peanuts movie is going to be all CGI. I miss my old school Charlie Brown films!
