Is Microsoft Abandoning Windows Phone...
by focusing on software products for iOS and Android, first? Any Windows phone users out there have an opinion about this?

It just seems like a matter of time before they have to give up on the phone. There's just too much money to be lost by not selling on the Android and iOS stores.

Absolutely @EightyNine I think that Microsoft has to maintain the market share of its core products, and realizes that the potentiality of losing customer (both Apple and Android) to new market upstarts has caused a shift in Microsoft strategy for the mobile marketplace. With the small market share that they have, I hope they don't abandon the platform altogehter. I like option availability in the mobile OS space.

@DanWest I'm not sure it makes sense for them to stay in the mobile market. The Surface seems to be doing well but I don't know a single person who has a Microsoft phone.

@EightyNine I only know one person who has a windows phone. It's so rare, at least that is what it feels like. I have a feeling it will take a long time before they abandon the phone completely...

personally I hate the windows 8 phone. There seems to be a desktop style page missing and those tiles are just horrid. I have windows 8 pc and happy with it just the phone version. Android all the way for myself!
