I'm a traditional mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, and stuffing kind of girl, but these recipes have me pretty curious. Just when I thought the turkducken was crazy, someone went and turned it up a notch:
1. "The Turk-duck-en of Cheeseballs" -
Take about 6 kinds of cheese, your favorite nuts and fruit and pile them on top of each other. This recipe might be the best or worst thing that has ever happened to cheese. Get it here: http://www.vingle.net/posts/590761
2. Latke-Crusted Turkey Stuffing Fritters With Liquid Cranberry Core and Turkey Schmaltz Gravy -
I have no words for this recipe. This is every traditional Thanksgiving food throw into one bite. You've got potatoes, cranberry sauce, turkey, and gravy. Just follow this up with some pumpkin pie and you're set!
3. Spiced Pumpkin Doughnuts with Turkey and Gravy Filling -
Zucker Bakery in Manhattan is really getting into the Thanksgiving spirit. I know I just said that having Thanksgiving in one bite is kind of cool, but this is taking it too far. While I might eat a bit of turkey then hit the dessert table only to go back to the turkey later, I'm not going to eat my pie and main meal in one go. I'll pass on this one.
4. Thanksgiving Burrito -
Kye's, a Santa Monica-based health food joint is making a twist on hybrid foods, using roasted turkey, spiced cranberry sauce, cornbread stuffing with fennel kabocha and chard, gravy and toasted pecans to stuff a collard green wrap.
