Natural Patio Bug Repellent
The best thing about throwing a thanksgiving dinner outdoor is enjoying the scenery and aroma of fall. However, the only party pooper is having uninvited pesky bugs (mosquitos) circling around the whole evening. Here is a homemade outdoor hug repellent to keep the bugs at bay. Supplies: Peppermint oil Lemon Alcohol Instructions: Combine 1/2 cup rubbing alcohol with 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice and 10 drops of peppermint oil in a spray bottle. How to use: Spray around the perimeter of your gathering or play area every hour to keep the bugs away. Bugs don't like intense smell of lemon and mint so it acts as a natural barrier.

This is awesome!! I usually try using bug repellent candles but they never work and smell kind of funky - I'll try this next time :)

I can attest to this working. Eucalyptus oil also works very well at least from my experience

Wow, who knew this was so easy? I'll have to tell my sister. She loves throwing BBQs but everyone gets bitten!

Another thing that I use that works just as well is the Japenese Cherry Blossom collection from Bath & Body.
