True ice coffee is cold brewed! Here's a perfect cup of ice coffee for your reference. You may add a tablespoon of condense milk to make it Vietnamese style. For 6 ounces of iced coffee: 1. In a small pitcher or 1-quart measuring cup, whisk together 1/3 cup ground coffee and 1 1/3 cups cold water until all the lumps are gone. 2. Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 5 hours, but it's best left overnight (not much longer or it'll get bitter). 3. Strain the coffee through a coffee filter-lined strainer set over a tall glass of ice, pushing it through with a spatula.

I love iced coffee. It's so rich and creamy when it's made well. My favourite thing in the Spring.
Cold brewed is my favorite way to brew, actually :) I've been meaning to get my set up going again, but I haven't had a chance to get a cheesecloth bag (which works SO well for straining!!)

What A Coke Does To Your Body In 1 Hour
I'll be the first to admit that I love Coca Cola. But it's absolutely horrible for us. A very detailed infographic supplied by TheRenegadePharmacist.com has officially proven again how bad Coke is for your body (WE KNOW). The American CDC has said that 25% of Americans drink soda on a regular basis which is a hefty reason why obesity has run rampant. Sugar is the main culprit since an average can of soda can contain 3 tablespoons of sugar and 4 tablespoons if in a 12-ounce-bottle. Coke is one of the most popular soft drinks in the United States with a massive marketing empire so there will never be a day where we won't see it somewhere. But there comes a time where you need to take a moment and see what you're putting into your body. Let's take a look : All it takes is ONE Coke : First 10 Minutes : 10 teaspoon of sugar hit your system. (100% of your recommended daily intake.) You don't immediately vomit from the overwhelming sweetness because phosphoric acid cuts the flavor allowing you to keep it down. In 20 Minutes : Your blood sugar spikes, causing an insulin burst. Your live responds to this by turning any sugar it can get its hands on into fat. (There's plenty of that at this particular moment.) In 40 Minutes : Caffeine absorption is complete. Your pupils dilate, your blood pressure rises, as a response your liver dumps more sugar into your bloodstream. The adenosine receptors in your brain are now blocked preventing drowsiness. In 45 Minutes : Your body ups your dopamine production stimulating the pleasure centers of your brain. This is physically the same way heroin works, by the way. In 60 Minutes : The phosphoric acid binds calcium, magnesium, and zinc in your lower intestine providing a further boost in metabolism. This is a compounded by high doses of sugar and artificial sweeteners also increasing the urinary excretion of calcium. After 60 Minutes : The caffeine's diuretic properties come into play. (It makes you have to pee.) It is now assured that you'll evacuate the bonded calcium, magnesium, and zinc that was headed to your bones as well as sodium, electrolyte and water. As the rave inside of you died down you'll start to have a sugar crash. You may become irritable and/or sluggish. You've also now, literally, pissed away all the water that was in theCoke. But not before infusing it with valuable nutrients your body could have used for things like having the ability to hydrate your system of build strong bones and teeth. Why you should care? - Coke weakens bones and teeth. - Increases your chance for getting diabetes. - It slows your metabolism, especially long term. - Aspartame in the soda leads to disease and organ irritation. - Coke has negative affects on fertility. - It leads to weight gain. - Can worsen asthma or increase risk for heart disease. - Cancer, Osteoporosis, and Kidney issues are common in people who drink soda. - It's expensive to continually buy it. - Diet sodas are a scam and false advertising. All soda is bad for you. - No nutritional value. - Raised cholesterol and specifically increased belly fat. Do I need to say more? Coke or soda for that matter is never a good idea. (But don't worry, I still love it.)
Choosing the Right Tea to Match Your Mood
We as humans tend to experience multiple moods that come and go without any notice and quite frankly, it can get really frustrating. A kind gesture from a stranger can make your entire day. But, all of a sudden, an inconsiderate jerk pushes past you in order to get the last available seat on the subway and then an immediate transformation occurs. That one quick, yet affective gesture has officially dampened your high spirits and whiplashed you into another mood you really didn’t want to be in. Instead of being heavily medicated and secluding yourself in your room during a Netflix binge, grab a cup of tea and let its natural ingredients do the healing. Common cold: Elderflower Avoiding the common cold is inevitable sometimes. You feel yourself being cautious when you’re in public spaces, yet you still manage to pick it up after you used about half a gallon of hand sanitizer. Elderflower tea relieves the symptoms of a common cold. It has a gentle and pleasant tea, so it’s welcoming to people of all ages, especially young kids. It contains antiviral and immune boosting effects, so it can tackle flu symptoms and other common cold problems. Stressed: Lemon Balm Maybe you have to meet a strict deadline for work. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed because finals are approaching and you’re trying to cram in last minute study sessions. You have found that physically you’re exhausted, but the gears running in your mind won’t seem to shut off. Lemon balm aids relaxation and calmness. The oils in lemon balm contain chemicals that relax muscles, particularly in the stomach and bladder, and calms future anxieties you may be experiencing. Slow metabolism: Green Tea Whether you’re looking to shed a couple extra pounds, or simply speed up your metabolism, green tea has proven to be very beneficial in EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), an ingredient known to speed up metabolism. Try to make it a habit of consuming 4-6 cups a day in order to notice a significant change in energy level. Sleepless nights: Chamomile Chamomile tea is strictly herbal based, so it doesn’t contain any caffeine, which is the main ingredient for keeping someone up in the first place. The tea itself has a unique, sweet, and floral aroma and will have a drowsiness effect on you. Your local grocery store should have brands like Celestial Seasonings and Traditional Medicinals, which are two of my favorite brands; however, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can even go as far as drying out the flowers and brewing them yourself. Bloated: Peppermint Peppermint has been known to help fatigue and stomach problems. It calms your internal systems and is extremely useful if you over-indulge in a late night meal or food loaded with sugars and fibers that the body finds hard to absorb. Next time you’re feeling uncomfortable because you maybe had one too many slices of cake, try and drink some peppermint tea to settle your stomach and reduce bloating. Nauseous: Ginger Tea Soon to be mothers have claimed that Ginger has helped them during pregnancy sickness. If you make this tea from grated root ginger, it will provide even more benefits. First, you want to steep two teaspoons in boiled water. Then, let it sit until it’s cool. Finally, sip on it casually, and you should find your nausea disappearing. Try not to consume more than three teaspoons a day.

If you are a fan of the KPOP Group A.C.E then this will be fun for you!! ‚ÄĘ‚ÄĘ‚ÄĘ ‚ÄĘ‚ÄĘ‚ÄĘ ‚ÄĘ‚ÄĘ‚ÄĘ ‚ÄĘ‚ÄĘ‚ÄĘ ‚ėÜ ‚ÄĘ‚ÄĘ‚ÄĘ ‚ÄĘ‚ÄĘ‚ÄĘ ‚ÄĘ‚ÄĘ‚ÄĘ ‚ÄĘ‚ÄĘ‚ÄĘ A short Story with a chance to pick out the 2 men to sit at the table! ~~~‚ėÜ~~~‚ėÜ~~~‚ėÜ~~~‚ėÜ~~~‚ėÜ~~~ Entering into a small nook in the wall coffee shop was something that soothed the soul. The shop was not at all crowded, warm amd inviting. wedged in a corner slot that stuck out a bit. Inside there was wooden benches against the windows with long tables that made one think it was like a picnic table. Ordering a caramel Latte to stay. Taking a seat with your back to the window you take in the shop. A Barista Brings you the coffee, with a spider Web design atop. Happy to get your fix and needing the buzz to get you back into work! While you were savoring the first sip of coffee the bell ring. Shocked out of your moment you see a few guys walking in the shop. Not taking any thought into it you continue to sip and enjoy the moment. Which is when the sound of people get louder and plunk! 2 guys are sitting across from you! Go Ahead and take a Screen shot twice to see who ends up across from you! There is something about the 2 guys that looked vaguely famailar but you couldnt place it. Since it was bench seating it made it seem as if it was perfectly natural to sit by strangers, but feeling self conscious you slowly move towards the other side of the bench. "Do you think she is shy?" Man 1 Says. " No, its because you intimidate her " man 2 said back. " Im not the scary one! Maybe she is a fan" The two of them continued to talk back and forth like that a few more times before a sigh escapes your lips. "Is there a reason or is this your way of trying to start a conversation with a stranger" You ask arching an eyebrow at them. "Well is it working? Man 1 asks "Im talking, so 50/50" You smile at them. "At least until the coffee is gone" And seeing how I did this on the fly The part 2 is going to come just a bit later!
