No better season for ginger and cinnamon recipes than winter! Thanks :)
I always have to scroll up to confirm that this isnt some kind of fancy dog treat recipe hahaha I'm glad this one is human-friendly!
I could switch back to regular flour instead of spelt if I'm not so concerned with gluten, right? I love ginger cookies!

Gorgeous Valentines Day Baked Apple Roses!
Beautiful? Check. Easy to make? Check. Healthy? Hey, they're better for you than a box of chocolates. For a sweet homemade Valentines Day dessert, try something new โ€“ these surprisingly simple baked apple roses! To make 6 roses, you'll need: A muffin tin 4 apples, cored and sliced in half (leave the skin on) Juice of half a lemon 3 Tbsp fruit preserves (apricot, apple, strawberry โ€“ choose your fave!) 2 Tbsp water (plus more, for soaking apples) 1 sheet of store-bought puff pastry Cinnamon, to taste To see how to make them, check out the video below, or just follow these simple written instructions! Instructions adapted from Tip Hero! How to Make Apple Roses These delicious baked apple roses are a perfect way to impress your Valentine. Or woo them any day of the year! 1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. 2. Take halved, cored, unpeeled apples and carefully slice very thin (see how in the video above). Put slices in a microwave safe bowl and cover with water. Add the juice of half a lemon. Microwave for 3 minutes to soften the slices and make them more pliable for rolling up. 3. In another bowl, mix together 2 tablespoons of fruit preserves and 3 tablespoons of water. 4. Roll out puff pastry and slice into rectangular strips about 2 inches (or a little less) wide. (Again, the video has better details on this part.) 5. For each strip, spoon a little of the fruit preserve mixture onto the dough and spread. Place apple slices overlapping along the length of the dough. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon and fold pastry dough up over apples. Finally, starting from one end, roll the entire thing up and place dough side down in a greased muffin tin. 6. Bake for 35-45 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool 5 minutes before removing from tin. Awesome! You've just learned how to make apple roses! Who's going to use these to make it the best (tastiest) Valentines Day ever? :D

Trust me: there's no easier way to eat a healthy breakfast than overnight oats. They take just a few minutes and minimal effort to make, and all that effort takes place the night before! So your morning routine is streamlined, and your breakfast is 10x more healthy and delicious to boot. :D Hello Natural has these 4 amazing overnight oat recipes especially for Fall! From there, all you need to do is add a few mix ins, shake well, and let sit in the fridge overnight! Serve hot or cold in the morning. :) It doesn't get much more "Fall" than pumpkin! :) Add: 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree 1 tablespoon of chopped walnuts 1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice For a little burst of sweetness and healthy antioxidants. ;) Add: 1/4 cup of dried cranberries 1 tablespoon of chopped dark chocolate 1 tablespoon of almonds Appley goodness will help you start your day with lots of filling, slimming fiber! Faking It On Valentine's Day
Here's a really cool idea for Valentine's Day: FAKE IT! For real! Guys can be either really lazy about V-Day or over-think it and determine to learn new skills, such as cooking, on one of the biggest hyped calendar dates in the year, February 14th. That's probably not the best approach to making the date night more than being memorable for being bad. Instead of trying to bake a cake or cookies, or dare yourself into making fudge, you could avoid a messy crisis and make your own Chocolate Dipped Strawberries. TRUST ME, IT'S EASY! You Will Need: Strawberries (washed and thoroughly dried) Candy Melts (pink and white) Chocolate chips (semi-sweet is best) Edible gold Edible glitter Edible embellishments (there's time to order from Amazon) Directions Melt the Candy Melts and chocolate (according to the package) in their own container/bowl. Dip strawberries into desired bowl and set aside. Drizzle a different color "melt" onto the dipped strawberries. Also, redip the strawberries in another "melt" at the tip and immediately dredge in edible glitter. Set these in a tray in the fridge and take out to de-chill a few moments before eating. These are fruity, gently sweetened with the chocolate and melts, and will look AMAZING with the edible embellishments!
