Extremely intelligent and well-thought out analysis of Nice Guy. As much as I'm enjoying and loving Nice Guy I have to agree with a lot of points. Especially the part on Eun Gi: "And what does that make of Eun-Gi as a character, almost becoming a puppet at the service of Ma-Ru’s redemption – a passive McGuffin whose pure sentiment is used more as a litmus test to wake up Ma-Ru than as a distinctive character trait". Like many other people I expected Eun Gi to be more fierce and perceptive and instead of falling in love with Maru so easily, use him to her own ends (and then of course fall in love in the process).
