Macy's New York has gone for an Interstellar theme for their holiday window displays this year! Santa and his sleigh travel the galaxy, visiting all of the planets while still leaving time to get presents to all the good boys and girls on Earth! "Santa's Journey to the Stars" was created by Roya Sullivan, award-winning designer and Macy's National Director of Window Presentation. Sullivan explains that the story "traces the adventures of Alex, a young boy who receives a magical and mystical telescope that enables him to experience the wonder of Christmas on other planets before landing back on Earth at the iconic Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Accompanied by his dog Bella and escorted through the galaxy by none other than the one-and-only Santa Claus, Alex's otherworldly voyage will amaze and enchant children of all ages as they too embark on their very own out-of-this-world adventure." This used to be one of my favorite parts of the Christmas season when I was young, and I am so envious of my cousins who are going to see it this weekend! I hope to be back in NYC next year to see these awesome pieces of art again!
