The longest ski jump is 246.5 meters (808.7 ft), set by Johan Remen Evensen in Vikersundbakken. Evensen first set the world record on February 11, 2011 at 243.0 meters, but then he went back and broke that record the same day going 256.5 meters. Can you imagine flying over two and a half football fields on a pair of skis? It's absolutely incredible!
