You're not going to want to stop for long during a cold winter hike for lunch. Most hikers keep on the move, munching all day to keep their energy levels up! If you do stop, it will be brief, so you really shouldn't spend to much time planning for this often skipped meal. Ideas for "lunch" snacks: - a peanut butter sandwich - cheese, nuts, dried fruit - crackers, cookies, candy - "sandwich" made of a wrap with some meat and cheese inside (wraps taste much, much better than cold bread. Trust me.) - granola bars - chocolate bars (190 c.) - dried pineapple circles (low moisture means they stay edible even in cold temps)

Dehydated fruit is one of my favorite snacks, even when I'm not planning on hiking!
