Impress your friends by making this peppermint bath bomb from home. The only challenge here is finding the essential oils (sweet almond and peppermint). You'll have to visit your local herb or organic store (like Bristol Farms or Whole Foods) to purchase the oils. If you're not in a rush you can order it online.
1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup Citric Acid
1/2 cup cornstarch
3 tablespoon epsom salt
2 teaspoons Sweet Almond Oil
3/4 teaspoon water
15-20 drops Peppermint Oil
Food coloring (optional)
Snowflake silicon mold (or any other shape)
In a large bowl combine baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch and epsom salts. In a separate bowl combine almond oil, water, essential oil, and food coloring. Finally combine the two bowls in one mixture, make sure it's fully blended.
You can use your hards to press bath bomb mixture into mold. Feel free to use the ornament balls or other creative baking molds.
- If using silicon mold, try not to press too hard to avoid haven the mold widen and distort the design.
- Let the ornament sit for 2 hours before removing, then set them on a towel to dry overnight.
