For those living in the sunny city you probably have abundance of dried flowers. Instead of throwing them to the green compost you make the most of these dried beauties. You can use them to make potpourri for your home or gift to a friend. What you need: Dried flowers, essential oils and any herbs, spices or trinkets you want to include. Just have fun with it. Put them in a decorative glass. I love using clear jars to display the different texture and colors. To prepare the flowers to be used for potpourri you have to dried it out first. Gather a bouquet and tie the stems together with some twine. Hang them upside down and give them a couple of weeks to fully dry out. Image courtesy: FreePeople
Dried rose is perfect for a winter potpourri. Any ideas of making the scent more winter-themed?
Instead of using scented candle, I should use a potpourri. It's very pretty!
@alise I would suggest, cinnamon or peppermint.
