Wisconsin star running back Melvin Gordon said he plans to enter the 2015 NFL draft. He is considered a top 15 prospect in the draft and may be what has now become a rare 1st round running back choice. Gordon is a Heisman Trophy finalist who leads the FBS with 2,336 rushing yards and 29 total touchdowns. He was the fastest player in history to reach 2,000 yards, doing it in just 241 carries. He is 4th currently on the all time single season rushing record and is trailing only Barry Sanders, Kevin Smith and Marcus Allen. How well will Gordon do in the NFL? He is being compared to Jamaal Charles and Giovani Bernard. However is it still worth it to take a RB in the 1st round? It seems that teams have figured out that if you don't have an O-line that can block, then theres no use in having an elite running back. If a team has an established O-line in place, I can see a team taking the risk on Gordon. He is a special talent who hits the hole quickly and has electric speed. How well do you think he'll do in the NFL?
