Perfect for a winter theme party. This recipe contains no nuts! Makes about 3 dozen and takes about 15 minutes! Ingredients: 1 box white cake mix 1/3 cup oil 3 egg whites 4 oz cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup powdered sugar (optional) Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Mix all ingredients, except powdered sugar, on medium until well combined. Chill for thirty minutes. If dough feels sticky, add 1/4 cup flour or powdered sugar. 3. Take about 2 tablespoons of dough and roll into a ball. Roll dough in powdered sugar (optional) and place on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 9-11 minutes, or until the tops start to crack. (Don't let them get brown - it will ruin the "snowball" effect. 4. Let cool on the cookie for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Dust with sifted powdered sugar.
How pretty! What if I added some red or green food coloring to make a few of them really special :)
Oooooh, and maybe add some edible gold leaf to really glam it up! These look so delicate and delicious.
@stargaze Check out or you can look at specialty confectioneries. I'd be careful about ordering through Amazon or auction sites as the consumption of non-edible gold leaf is toxic, though both identical.
@marhalledgar Do you know where I can get edible gold leaf?
Looks great
