Visiting The Cake, a new Jeff Koons-inspired cafe in Kiev, Ukraine
If you're a fan of Jeff Koons, French pastry, or simply really modern interior design, look no further than Kiev's new cafe, The Cake. Designed by Ukrainian architectural firm 2B Group, the cafe overall has a wonderfully minimalist layout, but upon closer look, an intense amount of detail comes to light. I love the chandeliers and the wooden panels by the bar, but perhaps my most favorite is the hard-to-miss giant pink balloon dog in the middle of one of the cafe's main tables labeled "ONLY LOOKS LIKE A KOONS DOG. BUT IT IS NOT." You know, just in case you were wondering..

Koons' theories and reasonings for creating his work always fascinated me more than the work itself. Cool idea though! @danidee Did you hear Koons is getting sued (yet again) for copyright infringement?

@dillonk Yeah! I did actually. And I feel like he's reaaaally not going to be able to talk himself out of this one. The sculpture vs the advertisement are really far too similar to be able to argue around.
