IDing Hatchery vs Wild Coho Salmon
Fishing with Rod is quickly becoming one of my favorite websites as I work to learn more about different types of fishing than I've done in the past! This video itself is specific to how to identify whether a Coho Salmon is wild or from the hatchery in the Chilliwack River, but is a lesson that we should all learn about where we are fishing. Before heading out with intentions to catch and keep salmon or other fish, know the rules! If there's a hatchery that releases fish that are allowed to be kept, make sure to learn how to ID these fish from their wild brothers. If you don't know the rules, you shouldn't be out fishing. Enjoy!
