The last day of the game on New Year's Day was an interesting one as the pace of Chadli, Kane, and Spurs's front line was took much for a stagnant Chelsea defense to handle.
Diego Costa rounded off a good move for Chelsea after Hazard's shot hit the post to put the visitors up 1-0 before Harry Kane leveled on a classic breakaway.
Rose then scored right before stoppage time in the 1st half to put Spurs up 2-1 before Kane, without the ball, was stepped on in the box by Ivanovic to award Townsend the penalty to make it 3-1.
In the second half, Kane agani found space on a breakaway to punish Chelsea before Hazard's breakaway pull the Blues back 4-2. Chadli's pace let him capitalize on a ball across the goal to make it 5-2. John Terry's goal in a scrap put him within one of the all time scorers list for defensemen in the Premier League and made it 5-3 before Spurs finally saw the game out.
It's Chelsea's 2nd loss of the season and Mourinho post-game dumped the blame on the refs for turning down two penalty decisions that would have both been poor calls.
The loss now puts Manchester City into joint first with Chelsea, as the two are tied on points, goal difference, goals scored, goals against, wins, games lost, draws, and points against each other.
For Spurs, they move up to 5th.
