With the new year just beginning, the last thing I want to think about is filing taxes. Several of my family members, however, brought up the topic over the holidays and I couldn't help but wonder if there were apps out there in the world that could make this less of a headache. I am no tax expert - I am simply sharing some apps that I have found over the web that might make our lives easier. To start out the series, I'm sharing the official IRS app, IRS2go. This app lets you find out the wait time until you see your refund check. Filing through e-file makes the tracking start much sooner than if you file by mail. The app is free and available for both iPhone/iPad and Android phones. The app doesn't have much features, but what worries me the most are the reviews. It seems that last year it was a bit buggy. By the looks of it they updated it in late November. Have any of you used it recently? I downloaded it but I can't do much until I start my taxes. You can look for free tax prep providers. Have you taken advantage of new technology when filing taxes? ------------------------------------------------------------ IRS2go Mobile App Download Android: iPhone: Follow my collection in order to join me on my hunt for useful apps for tax season:
