No time to curl your hair in the morning? Learn how to get slept-in beach waves! No heat involved. Scroll through image for a visual tutorial. Skip the curl serum if you hair holds curl well. 1. This is best done on damp hair. Start by crossing-sectioning hair into four parts, with one bun in each quadrant of the head. 2. Use crisscross pins to secure the hair. The small the bun, the tighter the wave. 3. Bun and repeat in all quadrants. 4. Mist the hair with a little bit of holding spray. 5. Undo the buns in the morning and you'll get effortless beach waves.
Sadly, this didn't work for me. Took my hair out of the buns and its kinked everywhere, frizzy, and just plain nasty looking. Looks like I'll have to stick to heat styling.
@HairConfetti thick and not-quite-curly, not-quite-frizzy. Hadn't used any product on my hair and I hadn't brushed either. thinking maybe my hair was too damp or something. Going to try again this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes!
@GACNinja What's your hair type? If you put on too much serum it might weigh the hair down and if you if you brush your hair after letting the buns down it might create frizz!
@madeleine I do this all the time. I love the loose curls effect.
I always make one big pinwheel roll to get curls the next day. Why didn't I think of making 4 buns to get more define curls??? Thanks for sharing this!
