In recent years, the Hall of Fame voting system has become one of the most contentious systems out there. There is barely anyone who agrees that this is the right way to elect hall of famers, but likewise barely anyone has any idea on how to fix it. There are those voters who do protest ballots by sending in a blank ballot. That approach has a major con, as explained by ESPN's Olney, because it lowers the percentage of everyone on the list. So it can affect those players who are on the bubble. Olney decided that his best way is to abstain from voting. I can see this working, if the majority of voters start to do the same. That is a HUGE if... So does anyone here have any ideas on how to fix this "archaic" system?

It's about as bad as All-Star voting which is a complete joke to be honest. Let's vote on the season's "All-Stars" 30 games into a 162 game season.
