Shakira and Iggy Collaboration May be in the Near Future

There are no words to properly express how happy this news made me. As I've made clear in plenty of cards, I absolutely adore Shakira. She's probably my favorite female celebrity of all time. While I'm not the biggest fan of Iggy as a person, there is no denying how addictive her rhymes are. With Shakira's 11th album (and second baby) on the way, the world should be ready for some great collaboration, including the Mana single that should be dropping any day now!

2015 Power Players: The Ladies
2014 was a year of serious girl power (think Taylor Swift's 1989 or Nicki's Anaconda) and it looks like 2015 will be an even stronger one. Six ladies stand out to me for 2015 and I can't wait to see what they have in store for us ~ Ariana Grande - After problem came out, Ariana sealed the deal as the new hit maker in pop music. Whether she's the next Mariah or not, she's got big plans in 2015 including a world tour and HOPEFULLY a new album. She's staying out of trouble, generally being adorable, and killing it in a high pony tail. Azealia Banks - Headling Coachella is just the beginning of Banks' 2015 domination plan. She's planning a new album, heading towards 400k instagram followers, and will probably be collaborating with a ton of people you've never heard of. Her new album Fantasea II: The Second Wave is going to be followed up by Banks' third album (which she's already announced!) called Business and Pleasure. Lorde - That track from the Mockingjay soundtrack was wicked and proof that Lorde has more in her than one Grammy winning album. There are rumors (big rumors) of a 2015 album release, but now its looking more like 2016. Either way, I'm sure she has some amazing covers and live performances for us this year! Nicki Minaj - While she's embarking on the Pinkprint world tour, Nicki isn't planning to slow down. Her newest video with Drake, Chris Brown, and Lil Wayne is the definition of fierce. No matter what she's doing or where she is you know she'll be doing it will the attitude that made her famous. Shakira - Shakira Shakira! She's back in the game with her 11th - yeah, you heard me - ELEVENTH studio album. She'll be working with more amazing artists and hopefully adding a tour to her to do list because I need to see Shakira once before I die. Jessie J - Okay if Bang Bang didn't literally blow your mind, you need to get your hearing checked. I alway like her singles cause they're catchy as hell but she is now taking her vocals to a new level and BELTING it out. If she doesn't get some more attention this year there is going to be trouble! And you know Beyonce is probably going to do something ridiculous again too. Also, where is Lady Gaga other than singing with Tony Bennet?

Lonely Oak radio Is a Big Fat Scam!
Yes, I’m going to go straight out there and say it, Lonely Oak radio is a scam. You saw a radio station asking for music and you dropped your link! (You should stop doing that by the way). Only for a short time later hit with an alert from the poster to send your music to an email to an address. This account that has asked you to do this is most likely fake. Go ahead check it. The next step is very important. DO NOT SEND THEM AN EMAIL. The email address might be their main one or it could be of an individual but always it will be a Gmail address. What’s wrong with Gmail I hear you ask? Well, nothing, but this is supposed to be a radio station that can reach thousands of fans. It’s all, well a bit fishy. Of course, I send my music to smaller radio stations all the time, but they never charge and they never claim to get my music out there to thousands of fans. Once you have sent your email to them they will then try and get you to buy their ‘Services.’ Please don’t. Please don’t send money to get played on any radio. Not only is this considered ‘Payola’ but it’s just a terrible idea. They also try to get you to buy playlist promotional services which I have covered before. Again another scam. They don’t even include Spotify or streaming links. So what exactly does this playlist even do? I have no clue. Don’t assume because you haven’t given them money think that you are 100% safe because they are sure to bombard your inbox with tons of spam emails. Who is behind this? I have no clue for certain who is behind this. I have no idea if it is one person who has multiple fake profiles, or multiple working as a team. I do know that this scam is appearing in a lot of Facebook music groups and it seems that a lot of musicians are unaware. This little ruse has been attempted before under the name ‘College underground radio FM.’ I believe it is the same person or team behind that. My reason for believing that is because it’s the same method being used as before — fake Facebook accounts posting asking for music and giving out the same replies but also for another reason. When trawling through my inbox and the spam emails they sent me, I managed to find this interesting line from both emails. Music submissions — “Get on the playlist” For them, both to have the same tone and also include the same sentence word for word shows the proof. College underground radio FM looks like it doesn’t exist for the most part now. Not that it ever really existed. Not that it ever had 2.4 million website visitors. I do believe that it has morphed into the new scam that is Lonely Oak radio. What can we do to protect ourselves? I personally still message a lot of small radio stations with my music. I like to support them and I like what they offer. When messaging radios most of the time I use a separate email just in case they flood my inbox. I would never ever pay to get on the radio and if they were offering something too good to be true I would stay away from them. Smaller radios are going to have a tiny reach. There’s nothing wrong with that. You’ve just got to accept that and move on. If you’re on a bunch of smaller stations eventually you’re audience will increase. Things take time; nothing is easy. Stay safe out there, especially on social media.

Even complete strangers may be questioned in the feed regarding their shoe orders, shipping times, satisfaction with the shoes, and other details. Grow Affordably - Although social networking sites shouldn't be utilized as a platform for aggressive sales techniques, you shouldn't ignore the opportunity to close deals when it presents themselves since they are useful as a marketing tool. However, with all the noise from businesses attempting to promote their products on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social networking sites. It is quite simple for a customer to get overstimulated. In such a saturated market, how can a business provide pertinent content? Communicate Authority - Customers are becoming more knowledgeable and pickier about the companies they support. They will quickly search your website and social media platforms before choosing. Will they discover a barren shop or a wealth of knowledge? Building the authority of your brand through the creation of strong profiles that you regularly update with pertinent content will ensure that you create a favorable first impression on social media, demonstrating that your company is reliable, knowledgeable, and approachable. A product development team and a customer care team are frequently quite productive. Some business owners find this rapidly changing environment scary because social media platforms are continually offering new capabilities. You do not, however, have to accomplish everything. Try out different approaches to engaging your audience, and allow yourself the freedom to pick up new skills along the way. You may publish several Instagram Stories one day to take customers on a behind-the-scenes tour of your workplace. Next, you may use Facebook Live video streaming to organize a brief Q&A session. You'll develop a better understanding of your followers' tastes with time. Even while engagement is the main focus of networks like Instagram, there are proven strategies to boost sales there. Work With Influencers To Promote Your Business and Products While social networks are not an exact science, the majority of businesses rely on data. You can scroll through advertising, for instance, that shows a picture of a huge scoop of chocolate ice cream melting above a mountain of whipped cream. Without giving it a second thought, you can decide to go to Baskin-Robbins three days later because you were craving a chocolate ice cream scoop. The decision-making process for purchases can be seen to be influenced by social networks in this way with the help of an influencer marketing agency. Most customers believe that it takes several interactions before they make a purchase, and according to Steve Pearson, CEO of Friendemic, "Social networking sites, unlike traditional methods of advertising, maybe infamously tough to measure." They are undoubtedly prevalent on social networking sites and online review sites, but customers might not necessarily refer to them as their most recent interactions when they enter a store. When developing an advertising campaign, be aware of your target market and the goal you aim to accomplish in order to save money on unproductive advertising. Rather than excessively sales-oriented advertisements, use content that educates or entertains.
