OK I'm a huge country music fan. I love the older stuff I grew up listening to with my mom, and I love Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton and the newer guys, too!
But this is kind of freaky? The maker of this video is a songwriter who does this kind of thing for fun to help him ID what kinds of hooks are dominating airwaves, but isn't it a bit ridiculous that all 6 can fit together so well?? I'm honestly haven't a hard time separating how much of this is good editing, and how much of this is "oh my god they're actually the same."
I mean, I guess it makes sense. We like a song, other songwriters mimic the formula, we like it again....won't we get bored eventually? Still, there is a lot of other country music out there that doesn't fit this formula (it's just not the most popular) AND if you jump back a decade or two, you can enjoy Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Willie Nelson, and Hank Williams, who all definitely don't fit the formula.
Anyways, I'm not necessarily bashing this....I'll still rock out to them all in my car later :) Just thought it was an interesting listen!!
