Let's Talk Football: 6th-12th of January, 2015
Massive week around the leagues in the world of football, so here's a recap of the big games from this past week. Premier League Crystal Palace 2-1 Tottenham Palace come from behind to hand new mananger Alan Pardew a win in his first game in charge of the Eagles as Spurs slip in their chase for the Champions League. Everton 1-1 Manchester City Everton create a slew of chances but only one to fruition as they snatch a draw from defending champions Manchester City, whose star striker Sergio Aguero returned from injury. Chelsea 2-0 Newcastle Chelsea score against the run of play in the first half before Diego Costa scores a second as Chelsea open up a 2 point game on the rest of the competition again at the top of the table. Burnley 2-1 QPR Queens Park Rangers continue to be stagnant on the road, dropping all 10 road games so far as Burnley lift themselves out of the bottom three with a big home win. Manchester United 0-1 Southampton In an absolutely stifling and stale game, Southampton's Tadic scores on the only shot on target of the game as the Saints lift themselves to third place in their quest for Champions League football. Arsenal 3-0 Stoke Stoke don't show up to play and Arsenal clinically dispatch of the Potters in a thumping at home to close the reigns on the top four. La Liga Real Madrid 3-0 Espanyol Fábio Coentrão is sent of for the Whites but Rodriguez, Bale, and Nacho all find the net for the Spanish leaders as Real Madrid remain a point above the competition with a game in hand. Barcelona 3-1 Atletico Madrid Mario Mandžukić nets a penalty but triple threat combo Neymar, Messi, and Suarez all score as Barcelona try to remain within an ear's shot of the top spot in La Liga.

Disappointed City drew. Now Chelsea are back in front!

@CitySarajevo Disappointed as well but there's still a lot to go. The game at the end of the month will be huge but this one is just as big. They drew last time out and City need the points where they can get them after dropping them to Everton & Burnley.
