The Best and Worst Nuts for Your Health
Nuts are nutritional powerhouses that are packed with good fats, protein, and minerals. Of course, you can always get too much of a good thing: nuts are high in fat and calories, so more than a handful could ruin your appetite and add too much fat into your diet. Here's a list of which nut products to stock up on, and which to avoid: Best Nuts - Almonds, Cashews, Pistachios! The lowest-calorie nuts at 160 per ounce are almonds; cashews; and pistachios. Avoid nuts packaged or roasted in oil; instead, go for raw or dry roasted! Worst Nuts - Macadamia Nuts, Pecans Ounce for ounce, macadamia nuts and pecans have the most calories—200 each—with the lowest amounts of protein and the highest amounts of fats. They are still good for you - but not in high amounts! Here are some fun recipe to use some heart-healthy nuts :) ~Almond Pear Muffins - http://www.vingle.net/posts/429296 ~Avocado Spinach Pesto Pasta - http://www.vingle.net/posts/673307 ~Hot Multigrain Cereal - http://www.vingle.net/posts/141973 ~Almond Lace Cookies - http://www.vingle.net/posts/611518 ~Almond Cocoa Cookies - http://www.vingle.net/posts/582252

@arianaVenti @sophiamor I have the horrible habit of opening my pantry and grabbing a handful of almonds every time I walk through my kitchen!
Pecans never seem to fill me up when I'm snacking on them so I always tend to overeat
Raw almonds are the absolute best snack! Sometimes I throw in a little dark chocolate and I'm a happy girl :)
Boo, pecans. How can you do this to me after all we've been through together? Every pie, every scoop of ice cream. Blasphemy.
