5 Tips to Make Your Hair Color Last
So you just got your hair colored at the salon. A few weeks past and you notice your hair color is slightly fading. Getting your hair done is general is pricey, so it's important to make it last as long as possible. Here are 5 tips to extend your the life of your hair color. 1. Shampoo Smartly Try to avoid washing you hair daily to prevent color to dull. You can also use dry shampoo in between washes to help maintain your color (and volume). 2. Do not use hot water for your hair. Hot water can easily damage your strand and dry out your hair. You don't want to chop off the newly colored hair due to split ends. Use lukewarm water instead! 3. Use styling products with SPF Since it's winter, some of you may not have to worry about this. For those that lives under direct sunlight, sun protection is paramount to prevent premature color fade. If you don't like putting products on your hair, wear a hat when you're out in the sun. 4. Choose color-safe shampoo and conditioner. There are many products out there specifically for color-treated hair. A few brands that carries those lines are TRESemmé, Bumble & Bumble Biolage, Redken, 5. Deep condition weekly. Hydration is the key to vivid color. Using a hair treatment that contains B Vitamins and UV protectors can help restore moisture, replenish lost nutrients, and shield against environmental stresses - which break down color.

@ArianaVenti I just used Manic Panic a few days ago!! It hardly developed though. My hair is too dark and I got lazy about pre-bleaching.

@HairConfetti I have really curly hair, so I use L'Oréal EverCurl. EverPure is a good one for color care. I used to spend $20-30 a bottle for salon products...my switch to L'Oréal has saved me so much money. Good price for sulfate free products, it's worth checking out
