This one almost cost me my camera. While in the middle of a 42 second exposure, a wave came right up to the front legs of the tripod, it started to suck the sand right from under them and the whole thing started to tip foward. I was able to grab the tripod before it had a chance to face plant in the cold saltwater.

like the dark hues in the background for the water and the exposed sunlight on the pillars. ..gives a good contrast
I've taken something just like this, although I didn't use the extended exposure as I didn't have a shutter release with me. Cool shot!
Great capture and I'm glad you didn't lose your camera! The image looks really warm, sunset on the east coast or sunrise on the west?
I wish it was on the west coast but this was on the east coast with the sun setting behind
