[18th-Jan-15] Weekend Rumour Mill
Another exciting and enticing weekend of football is in the books, so here's a look at the news and rumours that made headlines this weekend. 1. West Brom manager Tony Pulis is reported to have put in a bid, albeit an underfunded one, for Wigan Athletic's Callum McManaman. (Source: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/west-bromwich-albion/11354281/West-Brom-make-4-million-bid-for-Wigans-Callum-McManaman-as-Tony-Pulis-looks-to-bolster-squad.html) 2. Liverpool have ruled out the recall of Divock Origi. (Source: http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/420853/Divock-Origi-Liverpool-Lille-transfer-news 3. Hull City's Steve Bruce has criticized his keeper following their 3-0 loss at West Ham. (Source: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jan/18/steve-bruce-hull-players-west-ham-allan-mcgregor-curtis-davies) 4. Spurs striker Emmanuel Adebayor has said he's Spurs to score goals and make money. (Source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2915924/Tottenham-striker-Emmanuel-Adebayor-says-handle-boos.html#ixzz3PDVx8qCr) My Thoughts: 1. Would be a very good signing. McManaman was the star of the 2012 FA Cup Final and is a class player. He's only 24 as well. Pay the money Tony. 2. They don't need him as they won't be Europe next season, so him playing for the Reds can wait until next season. 3. Keeper had a shocking game but so was the defending. Wasn't all the keeper's fault but the first goal certainly was. 4. He never struck me as a club player. Comments like that can and will probably see him sold, especially at his age of 30.

Adebayor I don't think the fans like him.

@CitySarajevo I don't think so either and quite frankly I can see him being off-loaded in the summer.

@CitySarajevo PSG are reportedly interested but he could probably make good money in the MLS and I think some clubs are interested in him.
