The creams and lotions won't erase existing scars but deliver key ingredients that stimulate collagen synthesis to minimize scarring. Here are some ways to diminish stretch marks: 1. Exfoliating twice a week will help skin cell turnover, give a healthy glow, and reduce itchiness due to the stretching of the skin. 2. Moisturize with ingredients like shea butter, colloidal oatmeal, retinoids, coconut oil, vitamin E oil every night before bed. Although result won't be imminent it will help over time.
I use vitamin E every time I get out of the shower and it's worked really well. that suggestion is definitely worth looking into! (:
@mikayla, yes I'm curently using the coco cream & it really does help! I make sure to use it in the morning & when I go to bed :)
I've notice some on my hips, but I never knew they were stretch marks if I didn't read this.
