Gimmel rings have been around since, the slop ages. Gimmick or not, gimmel rings feature two or three hoops that are linked together and therefore, cannot be pulled apart. This fine double-hoop specimen is inscribed with Scripture, though not from the Torah. Transcribed from the Latin, it says, "What God has joined together, let no man turn asunder." It dates back to 1631 and appears to be made of gold and includes rubies, garnet, sapphire, and emerald. It's from the private Benjamin Zucker Family Collection, so don't bother with pricing. Even if it was for sale, you'd already know it if you could afford it.
