I've been getting more and more into hiking, and trying to slowly gather gear that I can use for a while, but doesn't cost too, too much! Even the expensive stuff might get banged up, so I only want to spend a lot on it if it's going to be worth it. I've taken the cheap route on some stuff (like my knockoff spork) and the more expensive route where it counts (like on my tent!) Still, I'm not sure what to do about my cooking pots. Do I want to look for something with quality or higher price? Or, stick to cheapies and replace when needed? I've heard the Stanley stackable set and the GSI minimalist sets are pretty good and aren't out of my range, I dont' want to spend unnecessary cash. Should I get a quality set or will a cheap one on eBay suffice? I'd love your advice!
I'd use Stanley as well!
Sorry, I'm not too sure of what to advise. @happyrock might?
I'm always a fan of DIY for these guys because like you said they get lost or dinged up anyways.
I'd say the Stanley set. But throw out thr useless bits.
