Coconut Lavender Treatment for Ingrown Hairs
Ladies who shave or wax have to deal with ingrown hair some point in their life. Ingrown hairs form when hair follicles curl around and grown back into your skin instead of rising through it (I know it sounds gross!). One way to prevent it is exfoliate your skin. If you currently have ingrown hairs you can get rid of those bumps by using this treatment after exfoliating. How it works: Coconut oil is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial, yet moisturizing at the same time. The tea tree oil has major healing properties that can be used to fight infection, reduce redness and irritation. The lavender oil has a soothing, calming effect on the skin. What you need: 3 tablespoons coconut oil 7 drops lavender oil 12 drops tea tree oil Method: 1. Mix all ingredients in a small jar or bottle. 2. Apply a small amount to affected area after shaving, waxing, or any hair removal and rub in until it begins to absorb.

I've been using coconut oil as an after shave moisturizer and I love the result so far. No signs of ingrown hair.
