The developer behind the successful Borderlands franchise is ready to being developing Borderlands 3, according to their panel at PAX South. We want to think about the future and we want to think about what the next Borderlands is and we're going to need some help," Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford said. "The fact is, we're not working on a new Borderlands game, but we want to." BORDERLANDS 3 [RUMORED TITLE] / 25 JAN 2015 PAX SOUTH 2015: GEARBOX ON BORDERLANDS 3: 'WE'RE READY TO START' 373 No Borderlands 3 yet. BY MICHAEL MARTINDeveloper Gearbox Software is ready to begin developing a new Borderlands game, potentially Borderlands 3, according to a Borderlands panel at PAX South today. "We want to think about the future and we want to think about what the next Borderlands is and we're going to need some help," Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford said. "The fact is, we're not working on a new Borderlands game, but we want to." "If you are in the industry and you think you can help us, we want you to help us. We want to get started on a new Borderlands game," Pitchford said, adding that the studio is looking for help to develop a new game. "There's literally nothing to tell, but we're ready to start." So this is pretty interesting news, and it looks like they really want to recruit more and more people. If the size of the team really expands that much then I am really looking forward to what the next Borderlands will become. I had a lot of fun with Borderlands 2, but I wasn't nearly as into it as some people. I never felt like I NEEDED to play with other people to beat content, which kind of sucks for a PvE game for me. There was a lot right with Borderlands, and I do really like Gearbox, so let's see where this is headed!
