Pink Velvet Hot Chocolate

Alright, alright. So this isn't technically a latte, but I wanted to spread the V-Day spirit with a pink drink and this is by far my favorite! If you're really bent on making a Valentine's LATTE then this white peppermint mocha (http://www.vingle.net/posts/506050) or toffee caramel latte (http://www.vingle.net/posts/506055) might be more your speed :) Ingredients: 2 cups Milk (I used Almond Milk) 1/2 cup White Chocolate Sauce (I used Torani) 1 tsp Vanilla Extract 1 tsp Red Food Coloring (add more if needed) Cream Cheese Whipped Cream Sprinkles Directions: Whisk together milk, white chocolate sauce, and vanilla in a small pot over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and transfer to a mug. Top with whipped cream and sprinkles! Cream Cheese Whipped Cream: 2 ounces cream cheese 1/3 cup sugar 2 cups heavy whipping cream 1 teaspoon vanilla or other flavor Start by whipping the cream cheese and sugar together. Mixing the sugar and cream cheese together softens the cream cheese and breaks it up a bit else you could have little globules of cream cheese in the whipped cream. Next add the whipping cream and flavor. You can use either whipping cream or heavy whipping creamโ€“which has more fat.

If you'd like the recipe, message me ๐Ÿ˜˜ My bun recipe: -200g milk (Lukewarm) -5g active dry yeast -30g sugar --240g bread flour -60g all purpose flour -30g butter (room temp) -Egg wash Step 1: put lukewarm milk, sugar and yeast in a bowl. Whisk and set aside for 5min Step 2: in a separate bowl, combine bread flour and all purpose flour. Then add milk mixture. Add a pinch of salt and knead dough Step 3: after dough can take ball form, knead in the room temp butter. Knead until butter is fully incorporated. After incorporated, put in a lightly greased bowl cover with plastic wrap and set aside in a warm place for 30-40 min. Step 4: after 30-40 mins, take dough out. It should have doubled in size. Put flour on your finger and poke the middle of the dough. If it first bounce back, declare the air from dough and cut in 8 equal pieces. Form in to balls and set aside on a baking sheet for 10-15 mins. Make sure to cover with a lightly dampened cloth. Step 5: cut two areas on the doughball across from each other in a diagonal direction. Egg was the parts you cut in to. Chocolate pudding filling: -2 egg yolks -2 1/2 tbsp sugar -1 tbsp all purpose flour -1 1/2 tbsp corn starch -1 tbsp coco powder -200ml milk (hot) -2 tbsp butter -30g chocolate. I used four squares of semi sweet chocolate Step 1: whisk egg yolks and sugar together. In separate bowl, combine flour, corn starch and coco powder. Add mixture to yolk mixture and whisk together. Step 2: slowly add hot milk to the chocolate yolk mixture. When fully combined. Put yolk mixture through a strainer into a pot. Out put on burner and set to medium heat. Continuously whisk until mixture thickens to pudding consistency. Step 3: take off heat immediately and add butter and chocolate. Continue mixing until chocolate and butter mix in. Step 4: place plastic wrap directly on pudding and put in fridge to cool. After it cools, mix it again and add to piping bag.

Choosing the Right Tea to Match Your Mood
We as humans tend to experience multiple moods that come and go without any notice and quite frankly, it can get really frustrating. A kind gesture from a stranger can make your entire day. But, all of a sudden, an inconsiderate jerk pushes past you in order to get the last available seat on the subway and then an immediate transformation occurs. That one quick, yet affective gesture has officially dampened your high spirits and whiplashed you into another mood you really didnโ€™t want to be in. Instead of being heavily medicated and secluding yourself in your room during a Netflix binge, grab a cup of tea and let its natural ingredients do the healing. Common cold: Elderflower Avoiding the common cold is inevitable sometimes. You feel yourself being cautious when youโ€™re in public spaces, yet you still manage to pick it up after you used about half a gallon of hand sanitizer. Elderflower tea relieves the symptoms of a common cold. It has a gentle and pleasant tea, so itโ€™s welcoming to people of all ages, especially young kids. It contains antiviral and immune boosting effects, so it can tackle flu symptoms and other common cold problems. Stressed: Lemon Balm Maybe you have to meet a strict deadline for work. Maybe youโ€™re feeling overwhelmed because finals are approaching and youโ€™re trying to cram in last minute study sessions. You have found that physically youโ€™re exhausted, but the gears running in your mind wonโ€™t seem to shut off. Lemon balm aids relaxation and calmness. The oils in lemon balm contain chemicals that relax muscles, particularly in the stomach and bladder, and calms future anxieties you may be experiencing. Slow metabolism: Green Tea Whether youโ€™re looking to shed a couple extra pounds, or simply speed up your metabolism, green tea has proven to be very beneficial in EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate), an ingredient known to speed up metabolism. Try to make it a habit of consuming 4-6 cups a day in order to notice a significant change in energy level. Sleepless nights: Chamomile Chamomile tea is strictly herbal based, so it doesnโ€™t contain any caffeine, which is the main ingredient for keeping someone up in the first place. The tea itself has a unique, sweet, and floral aroma and will have a drowsiness effect on you. Your local grocery store should have brands like Celestial Seasonings and Traditional Medicinals, which are two of my favorite brands; however, if youโ€™re feeling adventurous, you can even go as far as drying out the flowers and brewing them yourself. Bloated: Peppermint Peppermint has been known to help fatigue and stomach problems. It calms your internal systems and is extremely useful if you over-indulge in a late night meal or food loaded with sugars and fibers that the body finds hard to absorb. Next time youโ€™re feeling uncomfortable because you maybe had one too many slices of cake, try and drink some peppermint tea to settle your stomach and reduce bloating. Nauseous: Ginger Tea Soon to be mothers have claimed that Ginger has helped them during pregnancy sickness. If you make this tea from grated root ginger, it will provide even more benefits. First, you want to steep two teaspoons in boiled water. Then, let it sit until itโ€™s cool. Finally, sip on it casually, and you should find your nausea disappearing. Try not to consume more than three teaspoons a day.
What A Coke Does To Your Body In 1 Hour
I'll be the first to admit that I love Coca Cola. But it's absolutely horrible for us. A very detailed infographic supplied by TheRenegadePharmacist.com has officially proven again how bad Coke is for your body (WE KNOW). The American CDC has said that 25% of Americans drink soda on a regular basis which is a hefty reason why obesity has run rampant. Sugar is the main culprit since an average can of soda can contain 3 tablespoons of sugar and 4 tablespoons if in a 12-ounce-bottle. Coke is one of the most popular soft drinks in the United States with a massive marketing empire so there will never be a day where we won't see it somewhere. But there comes a time where you need to take a moment and see what you're putting into your body. Let's take a look : All it takes is ONE Coke : First 10 Minutes : 10 teaspoon of sugar hit your system. (100% of your recommended daily intake.) You don't immediately vomit from the overwhelming sweetness because phosphoric acid cuts the flavor allowing you to keep it down. In 20 Minutes : Your blood sugar spikes, causing an insulin burst. Your live responds to this by turning any sugar it can get its hands on into fat. (There's plenty of that at this particular moment.) In 40 Minutes : Caffeine absorption is complete. Your pupils dilate, your blood pressure rises, as a response your liver dumps more sugar into your bloodstream. The adenosine receptors in your brain are now blocked preventing drowsiness. In 45 Minutes : Your body ups your dopamine production stimulating the pleasure centers of your brain. This is physically the same way heroin works, by the way. In 60 Minutes : The phosphoric acid binds calcium, magnesium, and zinc in your lower intestine providing a further boost in metabolism. This is a compounded by high doses of sugar and artificial sweeteners also increasing the urinary excretion of calcium. After 60 Minutes : The caffeine's diuretic properties come into play. (It makes you have to pee.) It is now assured that you'll evacuate the bonded calcium, magnesium, and zinc that was headed to your bones as well as sodium, electrolyte and water. As the rave inside of you died down you'll start to have a sugar crash. You may become irritable and/or sluggish. You've also now, literally, pissed away all the water that was in theCoke. But not before infusing it with valuable nutrients your body could have used for things like having the ability to hydrate your system of build strong bones and teeth. Why you should care? - Coke weakens bones and teeth. - Increases your chance for getting diabetes. - It slows your metabolism, especially long term. - Aspartame in the soda leads to disease and organ irritation. - Coke has negative affects on fertility. - It leads to weight gain. - Can worsen asthma or increase risk for heart disease. - Cancer, Osteoporosis, and Kidney issues are common in people who drink soda. - It's expensive to continually buy it. - Diet sodas are a scam and false advertising. All soda is bad for you. - No nutritional value. - Raised cholesterol and specifically increased belly fat. Do I need to say more? Coke or soda for that matter is never a good idea. (But don't worry, I still love it.)
